The Samsung Epic 4G one one of the original Samsung Galaxy phones released. The Epic 4G, with its slide-out keyboard and Sprint 4G radio, has been one of the more difficult of the Galaxy’s for custom ROMmers.
Today Sprint announced an official OTA for the phone, which they’re calling FC09. Included in the update are fixes for Force Close errors when receiving a call and the “Sprint Connections Optimizer”.
This OTA brings the software version up to S:D700.0.5S.FC09 and will be released in stages, with all devices getting the update within “approximately” six weeks.
Sadly, not included in the update is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
