In the past, we’ve told you about certain emulators (like N64oid and PSX4Droid) that you can download from the Android Market that allow you to play games from a wide variety of console systems, even those that were released over twenty years ago, like NES. Naturally, emulators are a bit of a gray area: those that download the ROMs and run in the emulator should only do so if they’ve purchased the game in the past. This consideration isn’t enough to appease the big game system purverys like Sega, who make most of their money through console sales and game royalties. Recently, all of these emulators, made by developer yongzh, have been pulled from the Market. Not only that, but his developer account has been removed, perhaps ending an era of game emulators for Android.
