Taking a back-seat to all the Android Gingerbread and Honeycomb news that’s being reported for every direction, is a Froyo update for the DROID X and DROID (original) that is quietly being pushed to users.
This update not only brings both phones up to the latest version of Froyo (2.2.1), it may also bring the Madden NFL app as well (make sure you let us know in the comments if your update included the game, or not).
If you haven’t gotten your update yet, turn off your Wi-Fi, open the dialer, and dial in *#*#CHECKIN#*#* to let Google’s servers know that you’re online and waiting for it. The update may not start right away, but your phone should be put in the queue with all the others, and you should get get the update when you’re next in line.
Let us know what you like, or don’t like, about the update in the comments below.
