It seems like this week’s Android challenge was seeing who could overclock their phone higher than all the other guys.
The G2, which runs a stock 800MHz, got clocked first to 1.3GHz, then to 1.4GHz, both running solid and stable. The G2 is made for T-Mobile by HTC — which made both Verizon and Motorola fans a little competitive.
According to Matt4542 and Joe (no, not me, another Joe), Verizon/Motorola now holds the crown. These guys just pulled off overclocking both the Droid X and Droid 2 devices to — wait for it — 2.0GHz! It’s not quite stable yet, but Matt4542 and his team are hopeful, and working on it now.
Impressive!
