It’s been just over two weeks since Dolphin Browser HD 5.0 opened up a public beta for interested Android users to try out the changes that have been made to the the app, following a period of private beta testing. Now the browser is ready to leave behind that beta tag, with the final build of 5.0 now available for download in the Android Market.
As we noted when taking a look at the beta, Dolphin Browser HD gets an updated user interface with this release, now called Fire, hoping to modernize its appearance. You can also expect speedier performance over prior versions, as well as new tab management including a speed dial feature for quickly opening tabs for frequented sites, and a new bookmarks sidebar.
Besides new features and improvements to existing ones, one of the big changes for Dolphin Browser HD 5.0 is the removal of advertisements in this free version of the app.
We heard that the beta versions of the app were plagued by a decent number of assorted bugs, but this release assures that the ones uncovered during the testing have been taken care of. Language support is expanded to include Dutch and Greek, and the browser’s add-ons have been updated to support the new release. Check it out now in the Android Market.
