Another Sprint HTC EVO 3D problem arises after a couple of days ago we told you about a manufacturing “cosmetic issue” in which a customer bought two identical phones just to find out one had the camera plate inverted at the back. This time the EVO 3D is overheating according to several reports.
Initially reported in the forums, the Sprint HTC EVO 3D appears to be overheating and we’re likely to face two problems: the first one seems to be caused by a high charging current that makes the battery and phone itself overheat; the second appears to be caused by either hardware or software as it will overhead the phone even when not charging.
The EVO 3D will reportedly overheat even when switched off, meaning that there’s either a hardware fault or a software one as the phone might not completely turn off. This one could be preferable as the manufacturer could easily fix with a software update. The problems seem to affect only a couple of EVO 3Ds while others appear to be operating normally. Did you experience anything strange with your EVO 3D temperature-wise?
