If you’ve got an Android-powered Rogers Acer Liquid E or Dell Streak, your wait to get Froyo on your phone is (or is almost) over!
Rogers is pointing Liquid E users to http://bit.ly/dfBKIu to get the update. Once there, select Smart Handheld, Liquid, Liquid E, and follow the instructions from there. The update apparently works for Fido as well.
Streak owners on the other hand have a split OTA deployment. The first phase started on November 15th, phase two will happen sometime in December.
If you purchased your Streak as an unlocked unit you will be upgraded first — your update doesn’t have to go through any carrier approval process. When your Streak is next in line to get the update, you’ll be notified via an update icon in the notification bar after you power up. You can also manually check for the update by going to Settings, About Device, System Updates.
