The HTC EVO 4G is a beautiful phone. CyanogenMod is an awesome custom ROM. What happens when you combine the two? It’s nothing short of amazing — with a hitch: WiMax doesn’t work.

Thanks to the tireless efforts from the XDA-Developers community there is now an Alpha build of CyanogenMod that includes WiMax support! “Alpha” means there will be bugs, problems, and who knows what kind of other issues, but it’s a functional step in the right direction!
