If you’ve got a smartphone based on Samsung‘s Galaxy S platform (the Galaxy S itself, Captivate, or Vibrant), do we have a treat for you!
“ICSSGS” is a pure AOSP Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for Galaxy S phones. The developers underscored the pure-AOSP nature of the ROMs:
“We did not add any modifications unless they were absolutely required to make it work correctly.”
Currently three of the Galaxy S family have ICSSGS ROMs:
- Samsung Captivate
- Samsung Galaxy S i9000
- Samsung Vibrant
The latter may be of particular interest to those who lost CyanogenMod support when the “E911 bug” was discovered and the phone was de-listed.
