If you have ever crossed the international borders into or out of the USA you know that it’s not a very quick process. Using data from from U.S. Customs and Border Protection
There are several types of inspections (and corresponding lanes): Passenger Lanes, Commercial, Express Lanes, and even Pedestrian lines. Border Wait will even display the wait time at each border crossing, for each lane type. Additionally, the app can show you what the closest border crossing is using your phone’s current GPS location.
Other than by air, I’ve only crossed the U.S. border three times, but there are people who do this for work (or pleasure) on a regular basis, and this app could really save some time! Maybe Waze could build this kind of information into their app to help you cross the border in the least amount of time…
Border Wait is US$0.99, and available in the Android Market.
