The mysterious Samsung slider we looked at yesterday was today claimed to be the Samsung Galaxy S2 version that AT&T would be receiving; we hadn’t so far even considered that some of the SGS2 releases in the States would be QWERTY models, making this rumor come as quite the surprise. If hardware keyboards aren’t your thing, though, this news might have let you down a bit, especially considering the huge buzz around the GS2 in the US. Fret not, for a new rumor now claims that AT&T will also get its hands on the standard slate GS2.
The picture of the supposed keyboard-less Galaxy S2 on AT&T doesn’t really show us anything much, so we’ve just got the source’s word to go on. From what little we can make out, it looks pretty much like a standard GS2, but we can’t seem to make out any hardware home key, like we’re used to seeing. Android Central, which released the image, noted that it had to “hide a few details”; could what’s going on with the absence of visible Android buttons here be part of that?
We’re not entirely convinced yet, but if this news ends up being true, then so much the better; more Galaxy S2 options for all!
