The Nokia Lumia 800 was GSM only until now — not that we didn’t know about CDMA plans. The picture above, and the ones below, seem to feature the new CDMA Nokia Lumia 800 which will be landing in China pretty soon.
It looks like the Lumia 800 will be available in China via China Telecom starting March. It will come in black, white and cyan color flavors and will feature a CDMA radio which will allow for operation on the carrier’s network. The Nokia Lumia 710 is also expected in the same timeframe and the Lumia 900 — most probably that device Nokia showed off accidentally — will also be due sometime in the near future, with no exact date though.
Of course, seeing the CDMA Nokia Lumia 800 gives you every right to hope if you’re on Verizon or Sprint, given the poor Windows Phone line-up on these two carriers. Nokia can definitely make CDMA variants and we’ve already heard that the company is planning on preparing exclusive Windows Phones for every U.S. carrier.
