Boost Mobile looks like it could be planning to add a couple new handsets to its selection of Android devices, already consisting of the ZTE Warp, Samsung Transform Ultra, and Samsung Prevail. We hear that the carrier may soon be augmenting that list with the LG Optimus Black and Samsung Replenish.
We’ve seen signs pointing to the arrival of the LG Optimus Black on a whole bunch of smaller carriers in the States. Model numbers tell the tale of Blacks for US Cellular, Alltel, and Virgin Mobile, and we’ve managed to get a look at US Cellular’s version, called the LG Majestic. Despite all these finds, we hadn’t heard anything about the phone coming to Boost until now. Considering the Black made its US debut on Sprint, Boost’s parent company, we shouldn’t be surprised to learn this new tidbit.
Just like the Optimus Black, Samsung’s Replenish is another handset we know from its presence on Sprint. It’s presented as green, eco-friendly hardware, especially with its solar charger, but ultimately it’s a low-end Android with the benefit of a hardware QWERTY keyboard. Messaging fans may appreciate that touch, but anyone looking for a powerful phone would likely side with the Optimus Black.
We don’t have any information on Boost’s release plans for the Optimus Black and Replenish to share at this time, but be on the lookout for the pair as we get started with 2012.
