The HTC Status is AT&T’s variant of the HTC ChaCha “Facebook phone” and is officially available since July 17 for all those that want to be always connected and have a phone with a great keyboard.

Aside from the white/silver combination of the Status/ChaCha we’ve seen so far, Best Buy seems to have a special, mauve/purple version of the phone. It will probably be more appealing to the ladies and those from the younger generation. Despite its fresh color, the price is still $49.99 on a two-year contract so if you like to be extravagant, grab the colored version and show it off!
