BBC announced yesterday that the popular iPlayer application will be made available in the Android Marketplace until the end of this week. We don’t often get to see applications being actually released before the announced date of availability but we’re definitely glad to find out that the iPlayer is up.
The current version, 1.0, is free, weighs 928k and is compatible with devices running Google Android 2.2 Froyo or later. With iPlayer you can watch live TV, listen to live radio, browse and discover programs, add them to your favorites and check out schedules. To grab BBC iPlayer for Android, follow the source link or search for the application on your smartphone.
