The first real indication of the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the AT&T Captivate surfaced last week and Wednesday AT&T confirmed the roll-out process to begin as soon as Thursday.

And that being said, AT&T did release, as promised, the long waited Froyo update for the Samsung SGH-i897 (aka AT&T Captivate). The platform refresh will bring users Flash support, the ability to install applications to the SD card, performance improvements, Exchange support and more.
