In the light of the recent tragic events affecting not only Japan but the whole world, AT&T has started a Billing Relief program for subscribers that are either calling or texting relatives and friends in Japan.
Starting March 11 and valid until March 31, international long distance calls from the US and Puerto Rico to Japan as well as text messages to Japan from a US wireless number will be free. The offer is valid for wired and wireless services and even though, in tragic situations like this, money shouldn’t be an issue while calling the affected, it’s good to know — and we salute — that AT&T thought about people and went through with the project!
