While not many people tend to be familiar with Archos’ products, the new tablet coming from France the Arnova 8b G2 seems to be a decent product that might deserve your attention (if you’re into Gingerbread on tablets).
Powered by a 1GHz processor, the Arnova 8b G2 comes with an 800×600 LCD screen, 512MB of RAM, front-facing camera (of unspecified sensor size), as well as WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. It has either 4GB or 8GB storage space and also supports a microSD card for expanding the internal storage.
The tablet runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and no 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update is expected any time soon. This is in fact a variant of the Arnova 8 G2, and its market price, which should be around $180, makes it quite interesting. However, there are no details regarding the availability date.
