While there is a way to switch between 3G and 4G on Verizon’s HTC Thunderbolt — accessing the dialer and calling *#*#4636#*#* — there is now an application called LTE OnOFF in the Android Market that toggles the connection on or off.
Other than that, it’s nothing out of the ordinary, just your typical 4G LTE toggle for that enables you to quickly turn the connection off or back on. According to the description, there’s a toggle widget coming soon which will be a great addition for Thunderbolt owners — should also work on other Verizon LTE phones like the Droid Bionic, Charge and Revolution. For what it’s worth, the app is free and lightweight so you can check it out by following the source link.
