Maybe Apple had the right idea by refusing to allow Adobe’s Flash Player on iOS devices.
Less than a month after the release of Adobe Flash Player 10.2 for Android Adobe has announced a critical security flaw (which they’re calling “CVE-2011-0611″) in their popular Flash Player app.
Versions 10.2.156.12 and earlier of Flash Player for Android include the flaw, along with versions for Windows and Mac as well. Although Adobe isn’t “aware” of any attacks in the wild, the fact that Flash is seeing so many security problems is disheartening.
Adobe doesn’t yet have a estimate as to when a patch will be made available. For the time being, I’d suggest being extra careful with anything having to do with Flash, or uninstall the app pending the forthcoming update.
