We talked about the first beta of Angry Birds for Android a few weeks ago, today Angry Birds Lite Beta 2 was released into the Android Market.
Still not the final version of the game, this is the second beta of the massively popular game where you sling-shot birds toward objects in attempt to “pop” the evil pigs that store their eggs.
If you’ve already downloaded the original Beta then please update to the new version to test it again. Any progress that you’ve made on previous levels should carry over to the updated game, and (sadly) no new levels are available in this beta.
If you’ve already downloaded the first beta, the update will require a manual update from the Market. If you haven’t yet downloaded it, it’s free, but will take a while to download since its installer weighs in at 11.44MB. The Beta is still free, and still in the Android Market, just beware of “other” similarly named apps that aren’t this game. If you download one of those by mistake remember you have a 24 hour window in which to uninstall it for a refund (Angry Birds Lite Beta 2 is free).
To help drum up participation with the beta, the developers are offering up some goodies: Ten lucky Beta testers will receive Angry Birds Toys!
What are you waiting for? Go rescue those eggs!!
