According to a survey by Gizmodo using data gathered by dating site OkCupid, iPhone users have (on average) twice as many sexual parters as do Anroid users.
Gizmodo concludes that “iPhone users get laid more than Blackberry and Android users”, which is an incorrect interpretation of the data (as frequency of intimate relations wasn’t included in the source data, only number of partners). More importantly, they’re over looking another interpretation:
Android users are twice as desirable for long-term relationships than iPhone users.
Of course, neither of these two conclusions stand up to logical assertions given the data, but they’re a fun way to look at personality types in relation to consumer electronics choices.
Call me old-fashioned, but I’m quite happy that my wife has an Android… and I’m not ever going to get my kids an iPhone.
