The web-based version of the Android Market is a great resource for discovering apps, giving you the flexibility to sort through listings and reviews from your PC at your leisure. Being web-based lets you access it from virtually anywhere, and the ability to remotely choose which apps to send to your smartphone saves you the hassle of having to look them up all over again from your handset. Now Google’s added a new feature to the site, that will hopefully make all its reviews a whole lot more useful.

From an app’s page on the Market site, click over to its user review tab, and you’ll see some new sorting options. Depending on your selection, you can arrange app reviews by when they were submitted, by what rating they gave the app, and by how useful other Android Market users judged their content. Between the three of them, you’ll hopefully be able to more readily find the reviews that are most relevant to addressing your own questions and concerns about an app. Admittedly, it’s just a small change, but it’s an appreciated one, nonetheless.
