Canadian carrier subscribers owning a Samsung Galaxy S variant will not have to wait long until the Android 2.2 Froyo update for their devices is released as we now have an official road-map for the roll-out.

According to Samsung Mobile Canada, the update will be available for the Samsung Vibrant from Bell and Samsung Captivate from Rogers in mid-December while those of you that are on Telus will have to wait for the Froyo update for their Samsung Fascinate until early 2011. While Samsung is “working diligently to provide a tested and secure upgrade experience”, you have to understand that when carriers are involved, it might take a bit of time (Telus), aside from the unbranded Samsung Galaxy S Froyo saga where the update was pushed and pulled several times.
