With the spring just around the corner it is a great time to start planning outdoor activities. Everytrail has virtually every trail in your area or any place you plan on visiting. Most of the trails are free but some do cost a small amount of money. There are even options to create your own trails and send them to friends and family.

Kid Mode A free application

If you have ever allowed a child to play with your phone you know how much they enjoy it as well as how much they seem to mess stuff up. Kid Mode allows you to turn your phone into a child’s entertainment center. They are capable of playing games and watching educational videos. There are even options to prevent the child from accessing the home buttons or leaving the Kid Mode. This application ties directly into the Zoodles website which also allows you to download a kid friendly program for your computer.

NetQin Anti-Virus A free application

Protect your Android from malware, viruses, phishing, and other threats that are starting to appeal as the Android OS becomes more popular. This program has the ability to protect your device from theft by locking the phone and having the GPS coordinates sent to a trusted phone number.

Guitar Solo Lite and $4.01 full

Guitar Solo turns your Android into a full blown guitar. The app is capable of playing multiple cords and even has a tutorial on how to play various cords. There are many instruments included on the full version, while the lite version only has an acoustic guitar.

Waze Waze

Everyone dislikes being stuck in traffic, and Waze may just save you a little time on your commute. The traffic information on Waze is updated very frequently. Fellow Waze users are capable of submitting traffic information and earning accreditation points based upon their activity. This app features real time traffic incidents as well as points out to where speed traps may be.
