The Amazon Kindle fire is selling very well mainly — but not only — because it is much cheaper than the Apple iPad (or other high-end Android tablets on the market) as emphasized by the latest Kindle ad.
However, recent reports indicate that Amazon is planning on refreshing its 7-inch tablet. In addition to that, Pacific Crest analyst Chad Bartley believes that mid-2012 will also see Amazon releasing a new, 9-inch Kindle tablet. If the company manages to keep a low price for the new tablets, they might take an even larger slice of the market; the analyst’s report contains a shipment forecast raised to 14.9 million units (up from a previous estimate of 12.7 million units). Would you fancy a 9-inch Kindle tablet?
