Sony Ericsson launched the Xperia Play — the PlayStation phone also previously known as the Zeus — at the Mobile World Congress as the world’s first PlayStation-certified phone.
Expected to be available in Europe and in the US (via Verizon) in March, the Xperia Play will be part of every Australian network operator’s line-up. According to a Sony Global Marketing Manager, the smartphone will arrive to Australia towards the end of Q2, 2011, sometime between May and June. Almost two months after the previously mentioned regions, Australians will have one more reason to wait for the Xperia Play as they will have no excuse for not getting one: every operator, including Telstra, Vodafone and 3, will have it ready.
