If you’re looking for a starter tablet, one that won’t break the bank but that can usher you into the world of Android tablet goodness, a company called Ainol makes a rather low-end tablet called the Novo 7 Basic, which sells for only $145. For that you’ll get a 7″ WVGA 800×480 display, a 1GHz single-core CPU with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of flash memory, and WiFi, all on top of Android 3.2. The demo video, shown below, proves that the device isn’t going to win any performance competitions, but it just might get the job done for those with very basic tablet needs.
