Yesterday, we brought you news that HTC had decided on a commercial name for the Edge/Endeavor, and would be revealing the phone as the HTC One X at the Mobile World Congress. It wasn’t long after that when we heard that the Ville may get similar billing as the One S, setting up what looked like the start of an attempt at grouping together these 2012 models under some new branding. We continue to hear more rumors supporting this theory, with word arriving of two additional phones getting One names.
Pocket-lint reports hearing form a source that HTC intends to feature a new mid-tier Android at the MWC, the HTC One V. The Android 4.0 handset would supposedly run a 1GHz processor (no mention of cores), have access to a gigabyte of RAM, and feature a five-megapixel main camera. There’s been some speculation that this model might be the HTC Primo that’s already been rumored; it’s possible, considering they both sound like mid-range devices, but not all of the specs we’ve heard line-up perfectly.
In addition the One V, there may be a One XL. The existence of this model seems a little less certain than the other three, and there’s nothing known about the phone aside from its name. Logically, it might follow that the XL should be an oversized Endeavor, but we’ve no reason to believe any such hardware has been in the works.
