The Acer Iconia Tab A200 recently received an official update from the manufacturer which brings the latest Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich, to the tablet. However, owners of the Iconia Tab A500 will have to wait a little longer.
Acer Australia and New Zealand informed their fans on Facebook “that the Iconia Tab A500 will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich in April. No exact date yet, but we’ll let you know when we have it”. Officially launched in May 2011, the Iconia Tab A500 (and its users) will have to stick to Honeycomb for at least one and a half months. On the bright side though, at least Acer will offer an official way to upgrade (yes, still almost two months later than the A200).
