According to recent reports the tablet outlined above has visited the FCC and is none other than the upcoming Lenovo IdeaTab S2109, a tablet running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
It is reportedly packing a 9.7-inch IPS display with a 4:3 aspect ratio — a la iPad — and it is powered by a Texas Instruments OMAP processor. It will also purportedly feature four speakers with SRS technology and, according to sources, it should launch sometime this month, with no exact regions being mentioned though. However, the labels inside the FCC archive mention Germany, Canada, US, India, Russia, Turkmenistan, Mexico, Chile, Japan and China. It would be nice to know the screen resolution but the 4:3 aspect ratio should be a rather unique feature in the Android tablet line-up.
