What started in Russia is now moving internationally as ASUS is set to debut its mid-range extra-wide phone, the ZenFone Max Plus (M1) in the EU You can learn more details here.

As a refresher, it has a full HD 2:1 display, an octa-core MediaTek processor, dual rear cameras and a 4,130mAh battery. It’s far improved from the Pegasus 4S that debuted in China with a 720p 2:1 display and just entry-level specifications all around.

WinFuture‘s Roland Quandt was tipped that the price in Western Europe would be €300 or $353 for a base model device — 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. While many may consider to be the over-valuation of the MediaTek chip, keep in mind that OPPO has a mid-ranger out with the same MT6750T inside for $310. But $350 for a device with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage just doesn’t make sense in 2017.
