Samsung and Xiaomi reportedly also bringing Windows 10 Always Connected PCs

Microsoft and Qualcomm recently came together to debut new Snapdragon chipset-powered Always Connected PCs natively running Windows 10 S with the free option to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. ASUS and HP brought their brand power in for new products to debut in 2018, but there’s now word that two more companies will join the initiative.

Fudzilla claims from its sources that Samsung and Xiaomi have their own Always Connected PCs. Xiaomi’s inclusion looks quite ambitious as it has only had about a year’s experience making the Mi Notebooks. Samsung also has a big 2018 ahead of it with its new Notebook 9 series releases. No further details about these companies’ Always Connected products have been given. As an aside, Lenovo was also confirmed by Qualcomm to launch an ACPC at CES 2018.

ACPCs are touted to have impressive battery cycles while keeping connected to LTE.
