Featherweight switches on Razer iPad Pro mechanical keyboard

So, you’re about to dive into an iPad Pro and its nearly 13-inch screen. But you’re not really jazzed about Apple’s tame Smart Keyboard cover. Sure, it’s splash-proof and it’s light, but the keys are pretty clacky and there aren’t any function keys on it.

Well, if you’re willing to pay just 99 cents more to Razer, you could get one of its Mechanical Keyboard Case for the Apple iPad Pro. It’s a hefty thing that houses a metallic kickstand for your tablet viewing preferences, a backlight behind a more robust keyboard and keycaps on top of — you guessed it — “Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical Switches.” How low? It only takes 70 grams of mass to actuate a key.

The keyboard can last ten hours with the backlight shining on full power or about 600 hours without it on.

You can connect to Razer’s site through our source link to buy it at a price of $169.99 in the US or €189.99 in the EU. Razer retail outlets should also have these in stock.
