Code leaks reveal Apple’s Photos app enhancements

iOS 10 and macOS Sierra are Cupertino’s latest batch of changes to emerge over the next few months. Some of us even believe that these are the best improvements we’ve seen come from Apple in a very long time. The company’s photos app is seeing major changes, but some code information reveals just how major.

Reddit user vista980622 recently dissected a few code strings from within the app that reveal that the service is now capable of detecting a whopping 4,432 searchable objects, and up to 7 facial expressions as well. Siri Intelligence was mentioned as being a big deal in terms of how it’ll improve your use of the app, and it makes a ton of sense given how easy it is for anyone to flood an iPhone with photos and forget about these.

Changes to the photos app should reach devices this fall.
