Apple pulls iOS 9.3.2 for iPad Pro 9.7, offering exchanges because of Error 56

In its flurry of software updates, Apple supposedly fixed one problem and caused another one. A big one. Big enough to warrant drastic measures to fix it.

According to MacRumors, the company is now offering free exchanges for iPad Pro 9.7 owners who had their tablets bricked by installing the iOS 9.3.2 update. Some of those owners reported seeing an “Error 56” dialog, followed by a prompt to plug the tablet into iTunes for a restore. Those who restored their devices only saw Error 56 pop back up again. Those who have such a bricked tablet should contact Apple Support.

Cupertino has also stopped distributing iOS 9.3.2 to the iPad Pro 9.7. Might a fix come soon or will the next point upgrade have it in the cards?
