Blass: Galaxy Note 6 to debut mid-August

Samsung seems to be comfortable releasing another Galaxy Note device ahead of what would be Apple’s typical launch period for its major devices. Evan Blass dropped some supposed wisdom on Twitter about when to expect the Note 6 in the US as well as a firmer word on the non-existence of an S7 edge+.

The Galaxy Note 5 was introduced at a New York event on August 13 of last year along with the Galaxy S6 edge+. Samsung subsequently decided that it would not sell the Note 5 in several European markets. The move prompted retailer and consumer backlash and forced the chaebol to introduce the device into those markets, albeit at a far later date.

Will a single device help avoid the mess or will Samsung still put up exclusion zones for its big fall flagship? Well, if Blass gets us close, we shall see on the week of August 15.
