Shooting 4K video on a high-end smartphone has been standard for a short while now — though with the iPhone family, it’s a newer addition. It’s a feature that few if any true mid-ranger phone have the capability for. And while the iPhone SE is rumored to break at the very end of what a mid-ranger should be priced at, we may be able to see 4K arrive at a new bay.
Specifically, one tipster dropped a hint to AppleInsider that the new four-inch iPhone SE will be able to shoot 4K video. A demo video on the device will reportedly feature footage captured on like-devices.
It’s another rumor among many that have shown this lightly-termed “budget-friendly” device to be more akin to its premium ilk, be it in design, in function and in performance. Speaking of that performance, that Apple A9 chip that was on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus can definitely sort 4K footage out.
