Lil Wayne and Wesley Snipes star in ‘very cool’ new Galaxy S7 Edge commercials

You didn’t really think Samsung hired a bunch of movie, music and sports stars just for the one Galaxy S7 publicity stunt now, did you? Especially since the flagship phone, alongside its dual-curved brother, only launched commercially around the world this past Friday.

That’s also when a trio of new adverts debuted online, showing A-list rapper Lil Wayne and, well, C-list actor nowadays Wesley Snipes having a jolly good time with their “cool” handhelds, smartwatches, and virtual reality goggles. Wait, what happened to William H. Macy? Guess his dream of becoming a product spokesperson in a commercial didn’t come true after all.

Meanwhile, Lil Wayne’s wish was granted almost instantaneously, and so, he can already prove to the world how rich and carefree he is. Of course, you don’t have to be either of those things to nonchalantly drench your Galaxy S7 Edge in champagne or any other type of liquid, as the device clearly handles it all without flinching.

The same can’t be said about iPhones, but Lil Wayne always has his posse covered whenever someone does something dumb. Lil Wayne also likes to talk about himself in the third person, mostly for fun and self-deprecation, and he casually hangs out with Wesley Snipes both in real life and in the VR world. Not during the delivery of a baby elephant, though.

All in all, there’s a lot going on in these short vids, and we’d rather let you enjoy them in full for yourselves. Trust us, they’re extremely enjoyable, even if you’re not a fan of Lil Wayne, Wesley Snipes or Samsung.
