Google Photos on iOS grows with Split View and Live Photos

If you don’t have the latest in mobile technology from Apple, you’d still be able to take advantage of the latest update to Google Photos on iOS. But then again, you’d want to have Google Photos on iOS in the first place.

While you can now back up your fancy-shmancy Live Photos to the service and also get the app into Split View on the latest iPads and iPad Pro, there’s also some performance improvements in there, too. For those of you with 16GB devices, the app will use less of your cache when storage gets real tight. Also there’s some revised navigation paths so that “you can spend less time flipping hamburger menus.”

Google Maps on iOS also got a recent pit stop update, too.
