Super-slim 10,000 mAh Xiaomi Mi Powerbank Pro comes with USB Type-C port at $22
In case you felt a 3,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology wasn’t enough for the hugely in-demand Xiaomi Mi 5, despite the 5.2-incher snubbing the Quad HD screen resolution trend, there’s now a very convenient and cheap way to extend its endurance.
Another one, that is, since the Mi 5 obviously supports any universal portable charger, with the right kind of USB adapter. The advantage of the new Xiaomi Mi Powerbank Pro is it’s fitted with a Type-C connector by default.
Furthermore, it’s much slimmer than its predecessor, at only 12.6mm, and it weighs 223 grams while providing a whopping 10,000 mAh juice total. That’s plenty to fully charge the Mi 5 three times, and still have a little something left in the tank.
Speed is another major selling point here, as Xiaomi claims the Mi Note Pro phablet can get its own 3,000 mAh cell from 0 to 100 percent capacity in less than two hours with the Mi Powerbank Pro. Also, the power bank itself takes just 3.5 hours to charge up, and leverages various technologies from Texas Instruments to remain protected against short circuits and unplanned discharging.
Oh, oh, oh, and it can even be used to power up low-energy devices like Mi Bands or Mi Bluetooth Earphones. At the end of the day, USB Type-C support is still the highlight of this universal mobile accessory’s list of features, alongside low, low pricing.
The Xiaomi Mi Powerbank Pro will launch in China soon at the equivalent of $22 (CNY 149). That’s definite impulse buy territory, y’all, though there’s no word on Western availability yet.
