Give and take of Galaxy S7 storage: system package and moving apps

galaxy-s7-move-app-sdFor most people, 32GB is all they will get on their Galaxy S7 or S7 edge. And then, there’s the system package. Samsung seems to have taken the cake so far this year as it has hit 8GB with its insanely heavy TouchWiz enhancements. Yes, we do mean one-quarter of the storage it’s allowing for most of its consumers.

Still, it’s not as bad as going the 16GB iPhone route (or any route that goes with 16GB of storage, period).

You may think that the “massively innovative” microSD card slot may come to save the day for you and it has in a big way: you can move apps onto it. Hotswapping microSD cards with apps on them will just gray-out apps on the homescreen.

While we’re not talking about the most ideal of conditions and adoptive storage, Samsung is onto something, here.
