Microsoft Lumia 950 XL offered at $120 discount through B&H

Spring may just be our favorite season of the year, and not because the days grow longer and warmer. Instead, this is the time for many new high-end smartphone launches, as well as unprecedented special offers on aging flagships.

Of course, three months hardly qualifies the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL for the “aging” label, though compared to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5, the Windows 10 5.7-incher might soon start to look fairly outdated.

At least in the processing power department, a Snapdragon 810 isn’t the most desirable endowment anymore, so naturally, a lower price than ever tries to make up for the compromise. Sold by Microsoft at $650, the unlocked 32GB configuration costs only $530 at B&H Photo Video for a limited time.

How limited? It’s hard to say, since the steal doesn’t come with an expiration date, but rather finite supply “at this price.” What’s odd is B&H admits it already used to charge less than $650 for the Lumia 950 XL, more specifically $630.

Either way, your savings are quite substantial, as not even Amazon can afford to sell the Quad HD/3GB RAM/20MP camera bad boy for a penny under $630. The bad news is if you want to seamlessly turn the phone into a PC, you’ll need to separately acquire the Continuum-capable Display Dock. That’s an extra $100 through B&H, Microsoft or Amazon, and a not-so-palatable grand total of $630 for the versatile bundle.
