Update: The story has been revised to reflect that Blass was not specific in calling out the “Second Screen”-branded feature as found on the V10.
The demonstration tables will be packed with many different devices at LG’s pad in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress. Thing is, we’re all fixated on what the flagship, the G5, will give us. It’s a device that’s taken a departure from previous G-series iterations in terms of looks and crannies.
It turns out that backchannel techie Evan Blass has picked up on another rumored feature that we’ve seen just last fall.
Finally saw the G5; secondary screen confirmed.

The Second Screen, as first introduced by the V10 and will be carried on in the soon-to-be-seen X screen handset, may make its appearance on the G5. The officially-introduced X screen has a Second Screen that’s said to have all the same functions that the V10 had, so we wouldn’t consider it much of a stretch to say ditto for the G5 as well.
Then again, the company has the capacity to surprise and Blass certainly didn’t stick to branding which would give more seal to the deal.
