Apple iPad mini 3 sold for as little as $300 with 128GB storage at Best Buy

If the Apple Watch’s recent discounts through Target, Best Buy and B&H Photo Video signal the coming of an incremental upgrade, could a new deal on the iPad mini 3 be considered confirmation of an approaching refreshed iOS tablet too?

Well, not exactly, since the 7.9-incher was already rehashed last fall, and we’re now expecting a long overdue iPad Air 2 sequel. But that’s all the more reason to run to Best Buy, and score a $300 128GB Wi-Fi-only iPad mini 3 while you can.

Cupertino no longer sells the 2014 A7-powered slate directly, at least not brand-new, instead charging a ludicrous $300 for a refurbished 16GB variant with no cellular connectivity. As for Amazon, which often competes against BB’s bargains, the lowest you can find the 128GB-er there is $400 or so.

Bottom line, you’re looking at savings of $100+, and a tag technically reduced by $300 from the MSRP. Unfortunately, e-orders are restricted at the time of this writing, so you’ll just have to revisit the past, get off your comfy couch, and seek a nearby brick and mortar store.

The LTE-enabled 128GB iPad mini 3, meanwhile, can be found both on and offline, setting you back $430, down from the $730 Apple used a charge a long time ago.

Remember, despite its advanced age, this is a full Retina affair, sporting 2,048 x 1,536 pixels, and it’s perfectly capable of running iOS 9.2.
