Lenovo Vibe P1 Turbo gets a couple of (unofficial) upgrades

The vibes aren’t dying and, by just the sheer supposed size of this phone’s battery, the Vibe P1 Turbo won’t, either.

Lenovo’s done the Vibe P1 twice already: one had a 4,000mAh battery for the price of $159, the other had 5,000mAh for $279. The Vibe P1 Turbo takes that better phone — equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, Snapdragon 615, fingerprint reader, 2GB RAM, and 13-megapixel main camera — and pushes the RAM to 3GB and cranks the megapixel count to 16, at least according to leaks. The Indonesian Lenovo product site gives out the specs for the first P1, though, so those upgrades are still in contention.

The 5,000mAh battery is Quick Charge 2.0 compliant with a half-hour two-thirds charge being touted. Tack on 32GB of storage expandable by microSD and Android 5.1 and you pretty much have it.

It’s on pre-order for Rp. 3.999.000 or $296, so, the hope is that those spec changes get sorted out.
