LG introduces Quick Cover for G5, “a smartphone that does not officially exist”

How prescient.

LG has gone ahead either in sardonic fashion or a state of hubris and blasted out a new version of its “touch-enabled Quick Cover” case, explicitly for the “speculative LG G5.” We were first introduced to some of the new features this Quick Cover will have back when the K10 got its own case.

The usual quick-hit functionalities are available from calls to alarms without activating the phone full bore. Thing is, this case draws a parallel to the HTC Dot View case with the inclusion of a translucent mesh area that users can tap and swipe across. Add to that a glossy finish and that’s the Quick Cover.

Of course, LG’s holding back the phone itself for its MWC event.
