Original NVIDIA Shield finally notches Android Marshmallow

Well, that took long enough.

At the start of February, NVIDIA has made good on its promise to update its original Shield gaming tablet after upgrading the Shield K1 just before Christmas. Everything gets a refresh from wallpapers to new HD Image Effects and all of the stock goodies Android Marshmallow provides. With gaming apps taking a whole lot of space, the integrated SD card storage feature of 6.0 should really help here.

Wi-Fi only tablets will see what’s dubbed “Upgrade 4.0” soon while the version with US LTE antennas will need a few weeks’ of extra work.
