Leaker casually hints at HTC smartwatch for April

The smartwatch that doesn’t exist, but will not die. After a lot of curiosity regarding the Taiwanese OEM’s tablet habits, we’ve been chasing a potential HTC smartwatch for the past couple of years. For a company that typically manufactures quality hardware and software, mobile tech buffs were questioning why we haven’t seen HTC in this vertical.

Turns out those who were still waiting after we’ve given up all hope on even a fitness-focused smartwatch can maybe look forward to the month of April if leaker Evan Blass is to be believed.

The smartwatch, reportedly codenamed “Halfbeak,” was earlier said to be ready by next month. But hey, if it gets paired with an HTC Perfume release, we wouldn’t fault what would make common sense.

Wait and see.
