The Samsung Galaxy S7 is supposedly coming soon, but what is definitely coming soon is the Xiaomi Mi 5. And it can’t come soon enough for a company that’s been through a cooling in sales and a gap year in flagship iteration. So, it came time for Li Wanqiang, co-founder and senior vice president of Xiaomi, to set things straight.
Li announced February 24 to be the day that the company will introduce the Xiaomi Mi 5, right in the middle of its spring conference. Interestingly, there have been leaks on the conference semantics — location, logistics, timing, etc. — with a scheduled main event length of two hours. Speculation has gone on to suggest a suite of products that we’ve yet to know (or care) about.
February 24 is day three of MWC, by the way.
